Winter Zoo Camp

This year’s Winter Camp theme:
Polar Plunge: Dive into this camp class and discover how animals stay warm in the blistery cold.
Winter Olympics: This camp class is sure to win the gold as you meet some of the zoo’s animal athletes that thrive in the cold.

Who Made This Big mess

It’s a messy job, but somebody has to do it! Grab your shovel and get ready to get dirty as we explore the messiest part of zookeeping. Preschool thru Grades 6 will get hands on with the help of some of our zookeepers.

Exhibit Engineers

Put on your construction hat and prepare to get creative. Learn all about how we make the zoo a home for our resident animals. Preschool thru Grades 6 will learn about exhibit design as they face the challenge of transforming exhibits at Roosevelt Park Zoo.

What is Animal training

Think you have what it takes to train a 420 lbs tiger? Campers will take on the role of animal trainer as they uncover why animal training is so important. Kindergarten thru Grades 6 will also get a special tour with the opportunity to see animal training up-close.
