Found in Wild: southeast Sudan, northeast Uganda, southern Ethiopia, northern Kenya and Somalia Size and Description: - Length: 1.8 to 2.5 feet
- Weight: 5.9 -14.3 pounds
Diet (zoo): alfalfa, fruits, vegetables, and salt licks Diet (wild): brush leaves, shrubs, grasses, buds, shoots, fruit
Interesting Facts:
- Run in a zig-zag manner called dik-dik, hence the name
- Hunted for their hide -- two animals make on pair of gloves
- Have an elongated snout for heat dissipation
- Only males have horns; they grow approximately 4 inches in length
- Live in pairs and stay together their entire lives
