Found in Wild: United States, western Europe, and parts of eastern Europe and Asia
Size and Description:
  • Length: 4-5 feet
  • Males: weigh 70-85 pounds
  • Females: weigh 55-75 pounds
Diet (zoo): processed meat product
Diet (wild): elk, caribou, deer and sheep

Interesting Facts:
  • No natural enemies but man
  • Life span: 10-16 years
  • Baby wolves are called pups
  • Wolves live in packs of 7-20 wolves
  • Wolf packs have a special way to keep members of the family from fighting each other, called a dominance order.
  • A strong, aggressive male leads each pack; his mate is the dominant female.
